I started working with the National Buffalo Museum in Jamestown, North Dakota,
in 2023 when we created their logo.
At the time they were transitioning into the North American Bison Discovery Center with a full rebrand. I can truly say that I’ve never worked with any business or organisation with such an enormous amount of visual touch points. What they needed spanned from outdoor signage to business cards.
They have yearly events that require their recognisable branded looks in outreach and internal communication. Early 2026 we launched their new website which is comprehensive.
A Very Bison Christmas goes on in December each year with numerous activities for families.
It requires visual communication in the shape of advertisements, social media posts, indoor signage and much, much more.
In December 2024, I had the opportunity to add a new visual touchpoint to my portfolio
—a digital billboard. (We don’t have them in Norway) As far as production goes, this is quite non-sensational; the file is just a simple JPG created to the required specifications.
However, the final result is certainly more spectacular than, say, a business card. Like a child, I’m easily delighted, and I find it exciting to see my little JPG file displayed high on its pole in the darkness of Jamestown, North Dakota. Thanks to the Executive Director of the Center, Ilana Xinos, for driving out in the night to take the photo for me!
