“Our old site felt like shoes two sizes too small
—tight, outdated, and restrictive.”
It pinches.
It chafes.
Your business has evolved, but your site hasn’t kept up.
..and it’s costing you clients who assume
you’re not the real deal.
A great business with a bad website
still looks like a bad business.
“Now our site reflects the quality of our work.”
AKA: “Why didn’t we hire Hanne sooner?”
Before you hire a website designer,
your website strategy and messaging need to be in place.
Designing website content that consist of half-baked strategy and guesswork,
is wasting time and money. You need to get clear on your strategy and messaging.
If you need help with that step, Hanne recommends Sandra Beatty,
a messaging & website strategist she’s partnered with on many projects.
Process & Pricing
KICK OFF & PREP
During your first meeting, you’ll get a checklist of items Hanne will need before design work starts. You’ll set a handover date to send it all in.
GATHERING YOUR MATERIALS
Once you’ve sent over everything by the agreed handover date—like copy, images, and brand assets—she’ll get to work on your site’s “visual dummy.”
REVIEW & APPROVE
You’ll review the visual dummy and share your feedback. Once everything is approved, she moves on to building the real thing in WordPress.
BUILD & LAUNCH
Your site is built in WordPress, optimized for desktop and mobile, and sent to you for final review. Then you can share your new site with the world!
INCLUDES:
• Website script templates
so you know what text to provide.
(if needed).
• A schedule and process
to keep the project moving and completed by the deadline.
• Complimentary templated page
so you have the option to add new pages or content yourself and step-by-step WordPress guidance—like how to add a page, edit text, or swap images—via short Loom videos.
Cost: $1000 USD per page
**To ensure branding consistency across the entire site, Hanne only takes on full website projects (no one-off pages or partial website projects).
“Hanne has been an invaluable sparring partner for many years.”

All website design is only done on WordPress.
And other answers to the questions you were this close to Googling.
Does Hanne write the words on the website?
No, she doesn’t, however, she may make suggestions if she sees something could be improved. You’ll be given a website template that indicates the text that needs to go in each section. You can then fill this out yourself or work with a copywriter. All copy needs to be completed before the work on the visual dummies start. Need a recommendation? Hanne knows a couple of really good website conversion copywriters she’s collaborated with on multiple projects—just ask!
What if I want changes made afterwards?
You can make changes to your website design without incurring additional costs during the visual dummy stage. Once you’ve approved the visual dummy and it’s being implemented on your WordPress site, you still can make changes at an hourly rate of $150 USD.
Changes or additions after the project is completed can be done at an hourly rate of $150 USD.
Can I change things myself on the website?
You’ll get a free templated web page as part of your package, so you can easily add new content or pages later. You’ll also be provided with WordPress how-to videos (via Loom) showing you how to update text, images, and more.
What if I only want a page or a few pages done?
To deliver the best results, Hanne only accepts full website projects. That way, your entire site reflects a unified brand and user experience which isn’t possible with one-off pages.
What happens after I say yes?
Once you say yes, we start with an onboarding call to dig into your business, goals, and ideal client. You’ll get a checklist of what is needed to start the project, plus copy templates for each page. Once I have everything, I’ll design visual dummies for your approval. When you’re happy, I’ll build the site in WordPress and optimize it for all devices. After one final review, you can start passing your URL around like new baby cigars!
Will I be able to see the design before it goes live?
Yes.
How long will this take?
The timeline mostly comes down to two things: how many pages your site will have and when we receive the items to get started (copy, images, etc.). After that, most websites are ready to launch within 8 weeks.
Will my site be mobile-friendly?
Yes!
Do you handle the hosting and domain setup, too?
Yes, at an hourly rate of $150 USD.
Will my site be optimized for Google? (Do you do "SEO"?)
Website design does not include SEO as it should be done at the copywriting stage. However, a well-designed site isn’t just nice to look at—it actually helps people find you on Google. When your site is easy to navigate, mobile-friendly, and fast to load, Google takes notice. Plus, visitors are more likely to stick around (and trust you), which also boosts your ranking.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Credit card.
Do I pay the entire fee upfront?
No. A 50% deposit is due at the start of the project and the remaining 50% is due when you’ve been provided with the final deliverables.
